The final chapter in David Gordon Green’s Halloween trilogy. There’s a new “Michael Myers” in town and he’s gonna team up with the original to light the town of Haddonfield “on fire.” With Laurie’s granddaughter falling for this new killer, will anyone make it out alive? Also, do we care?

Synopsis: James LaSombra is a former cop mourning the loss of his wife and son. When a young friend of the family goes missing James is drawn into a mystery involving an urban legend about The Empty Man, a shadowy figure who can be summoned by blowing in an empty bottle on a bridge. But there is more to the disappearance than he first suspects, and more to the legend of the empty man than he realizes.

Since there’s apparently no way a franchise could have too many sequels, we’ll be checking out the newest addition to the Paranormal Activity family, Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin. The movie is currently streaming on Peacock so if you haven’t already, sign up for that free trial and then join us next time!

Just like the original Halloween 2, this one picks up right where we left off - with the Strode women heading to the hospital and Laurie’s house burning down with Michael inside. However, Michael is of course not dead and is back on the rampage once again. Now it’s up to an angry mob of Haddonfield residents, led by characters from the original Halloween, to take Michael down once and for all.

Next up, we’ll be watching and reviewing the listener suggested movie, The Empty Man (currently streaming on HBO).

Synopsis: This Halloween picks up 40 years after the babysitter murders that killed Laurie Strode’s friends & left her permanently altered. Her coping mechanism turned out to be ultra preparedness, much to the chagrin of her daughter, who she brought up basically as a doomsday prepper. Daughter Karen now thinks of grizzled old Laurie as an embarrassment, & encourages her teenage daughter Allyson to stay away from her. But when a grey haired Michael Myers escapes from a transport bus (AGAIN), guess who comes running to granny & her panic room?
