Synopsis: Distraught after the disappearance of her sister, Sara travels to Japan's Aokigahara "Suicide Forest" in order to find her.

You may have noticed we were supposed to review The Boy for our last episode and did not. We aparently are below-average calendar users because we didn't realize it wouldn't be out yet. However, now we are sure and, if you join us next time, you will hear our review of The Boy.

38 | The Battery

Director: Jeremy Gardner

Writer: Jeremy Gardner

Stars: Jeremy Gardner, Adam Cronheim, Niels Bolle

Synopsis: Two former baseball players are forced to work together and get along in a post-plague New England, overrun with zombies.

Join us next time for the 2016 horror film, The Boy.

36 | The Final Girls

Directors: Todd Strauss-Schulson

Writers: M.A. Fortin, Joshua John Miller

Stars: Taissa Farmiga, Malin Akerman, Adam DeVine

Synopsis: Still struggling with the death of her former "scream queen" mother, Max (Taissa) and her friends are transported into the world of the slasher classic, Camp Bloodbath, which was her mother's big claim to fame. Now they must defeat Camp Bloodbath's murderous, former resident, Billy Murphy, in order to get back home. So who will be the titular "Final Girl" in this horror-comedy?

Join us next time when we'll cover a Christmas movie that's fun for the whole family, Rare Exports.

35 | Goodnight Mommy

Directors: Severin Fiala, Veronika Franz

Writers: Severin Fiala, Veronika Franz

Stars: Susanne Wuest, Lukas Schwarz, Elias Schwarz

Synopsis: Elias and Lukas are twin brothers who start to notice things have gone a bit amiss ever since their mother came home from facial surgery. They believe that she has been replaced by someone else and are now on a mission to find out who the intruder is. Seems like such a simple story.

Next up, we'll be covering another horror-comedy (I know we said we weren't going to but we're liars). The winner for the next movie will be The Final Girls. Give her a watch, tell us what you think/ask questions, and then listen to our review! Tis so easy.

34 | Cooties

Kids can be so gross.

Director: Johnathan Milott, Cary Murnion

Writers: Leigh Whannell, Ian Brennan

Stars: Elijah Wood, Rainn Wilson, Alison Pill

Synopsis: A terrifying virus sweeps through an elementary school, turning all the sweet, little children into blood-hungry monsters. A group of the school's misfit teachers work together to find a way to escape the school and the murderous kids.

We've talked about the trailer for our next movie before on the podcast, but now we are finally able to watch and review the actual movie. As much as we love Halloween and October, it feels good to move away from bigger, more "mass-market" horror films and get back into lesser-known horror. So join us next time when we'll be covering Goodnight Mommy.

33 | Paranormal Activity: Ghost Dimension

Director: Gregory Plotkin

Writers: Jason Pagan, Andrew Deutschman, Adam Robitel, Gavin Heffernan, Brantley Aufill

Stars: Chris J. Murray, Brit Shaw, Ivy George, Dan Gill, Olivia Taylor Dudley

Synopsis: After discovering a camera with the ability to see and record beings from the "ghost dimension", a family does everything they can to protect their daughter from a malevolent entity, intent on possessing her. This is the sixth and presumeably final installment in the Paranormal Activity franchise.

After getting our hands on some advanced screening passes for Paranormal Activity: Ghost Dimension, we decided to squeeze a review in before moving on to Cooties. So...once again...next up, we'll be covering Cooties.

32 | The Green Inferno

Director: Eli Roth

Writer: Guillermo Amoedo & Eli Roth

Starring: Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, Aaron Burns, Sky Ferreira

Synopsis: College student, Justine, joins a group of activists from her school as they embark on a trip to the Amazon with the goal of stopping a demolition crew from destroying the village of a native tribe. After a somewhat successful protest, the group's plane crashes in the Amazonian rainforest, where they are discovered by the very tribe they were there to save.

Join us next time as we review and discuss the recent release, Cooties, starring Elijah Wood and Rainn Wilson. Who doesn't love movies where little kids are the monsters, taking down all the adults?!

31 | The Visit

Director: M. Night Shyamalan
Writer: M. Night Shyamalan
Starring: Olivia DeJong, Ed Oxenbould, Deanna Dunagan
Synopsis: Two kiddos travel to their grandparents' house - whom they've never met before - to visit for a week while their mom takes a cruise with her boyfriend.  At first, things seem to go fairly well; just kids getting used to your typical "weird old people" things. However, it isn't long before things begin to go from weird to WTAF.

Next on the menu...Eli Roth's bloody homage to cannibal-related horror, The Green Inferno. So pack a meal, gather your weak-stomached friends, and join us as we digest and dissect this gory flick.

30 | Sinister 2

Sinister 2
Director: Ciarán Foy
Writers: Scott Derrickson, C. Robert Cargill
Starring: Shannyn Sossamon, James Ransone, Robert Daniel Sloan, Dartanian Sloan
Synopsis: Picking up from where Sinister left off, now Ex Deputy So & So is tracking down and destroying all the Bughuul murder houses. But he's stopped short when he learns the next house on his list is already occupied by a woman and her two children. Not one to walk away from a family being harassed by Bughuul and his gang of evil kids, Ex Deputy So & So sticks around to help the family before it becomes too late.

Did you know there's a real-life Bughuul? Well there is and we've found him. Turns out he's been passing himself off as the lead guitarist of Slipknot. Honestly, now that we've seen the almost 100% resemblance, Bughuul is even less frightening and not all that original. I'm not even going to label which is which.

Join us next time as we "celebrate" the return of M. Night Shyamalan by watching his newest movie, The Visit. His track record is pretty spotty so we don't even have a guess as to how this new one is going to turn out. Till next time!
