In a house near the lake, teenager Ellie lives with her mother Celeste, her stepfather Daniel and her eight-year-old stepsister Anna. Ellie has arguments with her mother because of her father that she never knew and questions whether he really died. When Anna disappears in Caddo Lake, Sheriff Taylor organizes a search party to look for her in the lake. Written by Rob Hayes

Stars: Sophia Lillis, Samuel Leakey, Alice Krige

Rated: PG-13; Runtime: 1hr 27min

US Wide Release: January 31

Synopsis: Evicted from their family home by their unstable mother, Gretel and Hansel must now set off through the woods to fend for themselves. When they stumble upon an inviting home, with a seemingly unending supply of food, they soon realize things may not be as idyllic as they first appeared.

Next up, Daniel Isn’t Real, yet another interesting-looking Spectrevision production. This one’s about a childhood imaginary friend who returns to help his old playmate in his time of need. Kind of sounds like Drop Dead Fred. I sure hope it’s like Drop Dead Fred…
