Synopsis: This “spiritual sequel” skips over the movies made after 1992’s Candyman and takes place in a now-gentrified Cabrini Green. Anthony and Brianna are a successful, upwardly-mobile couple who take up residence in one of the posh condos that have been built over the ashes of the infamous projects. When painter Anthony learns of the Candyman legend he becomes obsessed with capturing it in his art, but his obsession leads him and those around him into dangerous territory and he soon finds that there may be more to the urban legend than he anticipated.

Meanwhile, a greasy crime boss in the neighborhood has set his sights on Phoenix and has sent some goons on an errand to kidnap the girl. Guess how well that turns out for them...
